Short Poem #7 - A Knock

🚪
A knock on the door
Standing you
Who used to be a stranger
Travelled across lands and seas
A warmth
Wrapped its arm around me
On a night before your arrival
A subtle smile
Confident in its presence
I slide the door open
Welcome you to my world
A vast territory
Of endless possibilities
We play hide and seek
Sing in languages we don’t speak
We sit in a shade
Making jokes and telling stories
My heart’s content
Wrapped around your innocence
